Spiritual-seeker, budding rabbinical scholar, boxer: Super welterweight title-holder YURI FOREMAN is all that and more. Indeed, besides studying to become a rabbi in between fights, he also holds the distinction of being the FIRST ISRAELI WORLD CHAMP. To say he’s more than a fighter would only scratch the surface of this engaging fistic figure.

With that in mind, we decided to sit down for an extended chat with Foreman as he prepares for perhaps his greatest challenge yet: defending his belt against the always dangerous MIGUEL COTTO June 5 at YANKEE STADIUM. In this first of five video interviews, Foreman discusses his beginnings in boxing.
