Unimas Solo Boxeo Fight Night: Ramirez vs Kinda

USA Olympian, WBC Continental Americas champion and undefeated Jose Ramirez   (18 -0, 13 KOs) will headline a Top Rank Championship event tonight at the Save Mart Center Arena in Fresno.

The previous card at Save Mart Center was Dec. 5 of last year, also headlined by Ramirez, and was a sell out at 13,100 – with 1,600 turned away.

One of the most prestigious arenas in America, ‘Venues Today,’ a leading trade publication listed Save Mart Center among its ‘Top Stops’ for venues in the 10,000 to 15,000 capacity category. The venue came in as the No. 1 ranked collegiate venue, the No. 4 in the U.S. and No. 12 in the world based on concert grosses. Save Mart Center was one of seven SMG-managed arenas to rank in the Top 10 in this size category.

“There is no place like home for me to fight, this one is special for so many reasons but none more important then to bring awareness to serious issues going on right now” Jose Ramirez

“We are very excited about our big December 2nd boxing event for all the Central California boxing fans. Jose Ramirez is a young, powerful future world champion who goes in to the ring to help all in his home town . Jose is someone very special in the sport of boxing,” said Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank.

“There is nothing in all of sports like a big fight and this is a big fight and it’s in our city and Valley,” promoter/agent Rick Mirigian said. “Ramirez will defend his WBC championship at home and deliver a powerful message with it on the positive contributions that immigrants do in our society and the continued importance of water issues in California.”

The big fight card will be televised nationally on Top Rank’s Solo Boxeo series on UniMas.
