Saturday, November 9th
California Latino Water Coalition leaders will join Jose Ramírez in a ‘Fight for Water’ News Conference!

Your coverage is invited and welcomed during a news conference at 12 o’clock noon Thursday, October 17 at the Sierra Athletic Club 4774 North Blackstone Avenue (near Shaw Avenue) in Fresno.

The news conference will spotlight the Saturday, November 9th bout at West Hills College in Lemoore that will feature Jose Ramirez, the valley’s own Olympic lightweight boxing champ.

Plus, Jose will explain the relevance and importance of what he is calling ‘The Fight for Water.’

Jose Ramirez grew up in Avenal and along the valley’s West Side. He understands the economic and social hardship being created by water supply cutbacks. Jose wants his first valley pro bout to make a statement and a difference by calling attention to those who continue to lose jobs in farm-related employment as Delta water pumping is reduced. We’re proud to welcome Jose as the newest member of the California Latino Water Coalition, which aims to help resolve the state's water crisis and to promote economic growth in the area Ramirez grew up.

Please join us at noon Thursday!
