Rios to Hold Special Event with Fans, Media

The normally outgoing Brandon Rios has been keeping to himself these days. In preparation for his March 30 rematch against Mike Alvarado, the former jr. lightweight champ has maintained a strict closed-door policy during training camp, avoiding the spotlight—the cameras, the questions, the requests—for a strict focus on his training. Locked away in the gym with superstar trainer and close confidant Robert Garcia, the undefeated Rios is iinstead doing what he does best: fighting.

But on Sunday, February 24, all that changes. From 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Rios will hold a meet-and-greet with fans at Magnifico Boxing Gym (9201 California Avenue, Southgate, CA 90280). There, he will sign autographs, pose for pictures, and generally make himself available to his loyal supporters. The press is also invited to interview Rios, both before and after the event. This is a rare opportunity for face-time with the otherwise intensely focused Rios. Don’t miss out!
