LOS ANGELES (July 5, 2012) – Undefeated World Boxing Council (WBC) middleweight champion and Son of the Legend, JULIO CÉSAR CHÁVEZ JR. (46-0-1, 32 KOS), of Culiacan, México, and two-division world champion SERGIO MARTINEZ (49-2-2, 28 KOs), of Quilmes, Buenos Aires, Argentina, along with their promoters Bob Arum, Fernando Beltran and Lou DiBella, will kick-off a four-city / two-nation international media tour to promote their eagerly-awaited Méxican Independence Day middleweight championship battle, beginning with a Los Angeles News Conference, Tuesday!  July 10, in the Crystal Ballroom at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel Los Angeles (506 South Grand Ave., Los Angeles, Calif. 90071.)  News conference begins at Noon PT.

Chávez Jr. vs. Martinez will take place Saturday, September 15, at the Thomas & Mack Center, on the campus of the University of Nevada at Las Vegas.  It will be produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View®, beginning at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.
