Jose Ramirez Defeats Mike Reed by 2nd Round TKO

Undefeated No. 3 world-rated contender Jose Ramirez defeated Top-10 contender Mike “Yes Indeed” Reed in the main event of “Fight For Water”, a spectacular card benefiting the California Latino Water Commission. Local favorite and 2012 U.S. Olympian Ramírez (20-0, 15 KOs OLD), from Avenal, California, retained his Wold Boxing Council (WBC) Continental Americas super lightweight title against Reed (23-0, 12KOs OLD). In the co-main event, Artur Beterbiev (12-0, 12 KOs), a Russian native who fights out of Montréal, Québec, Canada, defeated Enrico Koelling (23-2, 6 KOs), of Berlin, Germany, 2:33 into the 12th by KO, winning the vacant International Boxing Federation (IBF) light heavyweight world title.
