Where Will Pacquiao Fight Next?

Writes Ronnie Nathanielsz of Boxingscene.com:

“MANNY PACQUIAO’s adviser Michael Koncz is scheduled to leave for the United States on Thursday after finalizing an amended deal for the pound-for-pound king’s November 13 showdown with ANTONIO MARGARITO for the vacant WBC light middleweight title.

“Koncz had earlier indicated Pacquiao wanted more money than Arum first offered him but Arum told us that’s no problem.

“Indications are Pacquiao wants a higher guarantee and Arum told us another $500,000 wasn’t likely to cause a problem and in any way affect their excellent relationship.

“Koncz himself told us Pacquiao was conveying to Arum ‘what he wants’ although the adviser didn’t wish to discuss any figures but said ”I don’t think it’s a big problem either.’

“Arum flew to Dallas, Texas on Wednesday with Top Rank president Todd du Beof to meet over dinner with Jerry Jones, owner of the fabulous $1.2 billion Dallas Cowboys stadium where Pacquiao drew almost 51,000 fans for his WBO welterweight title defense against Ghana’s JOSHUA CLOTTEY last March. Arum wants to stage the Pacquiao-Margarito fight in Dallas, confident that the big Mexican population in Texas would swell the gate to at least 60,000.”
