Manny Steward: “We’re looking at a 50-50 Fight Against Yuri”

New York —  While at Yankee Stadium earlier this week, chief trainer Manny Steward told MIGUEL COTTO “…we’re in a tough, difficult, challenging fight against YURI FOREMAN.

“I now know why MANNY PACQUIAO and his team passed on Yuri,” Steward told the boxing press before Cotto went to the batting cage at Yankee Stadium. “We’re looking at a 50-50 fight going in. Yuri is a good, hard-working champion.”

Steward added that he has been working on Cotto’s balance and has tweaked punching angles for “more accurate, harder direct hits.”

Steward added “…Cotto knows how important this fight is for his career.”

TICKET SALES have surged since COTTO APPEARED AT YANKEE STADIUM, where he spoke to Yankees star players including Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter.

Cotto is now back in Tampa, Fla. to complete training. Foreman, the WBA super welterweight champion, had his Media Day on Tuesday, May 25 at Gleasons Gym in New York.

Cotto vs Foreman on June 5 at Yankee Stadium is promoted by Top Rank, Cotto Promotions and will be available on HBO.
