Now Pitching for the Dodgers: Chavez Jr.

LOS ANGELES (June 8, 2010) — Holy Rotisserie League!  Undefeated No. 1 super welterweight contender and son of the legend, JULIO CÉSAR CHÁVEZ, JR., has been tapped to throw out theceremonial first pitch before Tomorrow’s game at Dodger Stadium, between the host Dodgers and the St. Louis Cardinals.  Chávez will throw the heater at approximately 7 P.M. PT.

            Chávez Jr (40-0-1, 30 KOs), of Culiacan, México, is the son of Mexico’s greatest fighter Julio César Chávez.  The World Boxing Council’s No. 1 super welterweight contender, Chávez, 24,  is in deep training with Freddie Roach at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood for his upcoming rumble against Top-10 middleweight contender “Ireland’s” JOHN DUDDY.  Chávez vs. Duddy headlines Latin Fury 15:  La Furia de México, the four-fight pay-per-view extravaganza which takes place Saturday, June 26at the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX.
